I count my blessings every day that I get to lead an amazing dedicated staff and instil a great love of learning and a love of Jesus within our students. What brings me joy is watching my boys play football on a cold winter’s day and spending time in the Victorian great outdoors.

As the Student Wellbeing Leader my focus is continuing to build a learning environment where our students feel safe, build positive relationships and are engaged in learning that helps them to flourish as young independent people. Our whole school focus is to instill in our students positive behaviours that are guided by the life of Jesus as our model.

I love learning and my passion lies in supporting students to be the best they can be. I work with an amazing staff and a supportive parent community. It is a privilege to work across the school in many different capacities. Outside of school my passion is cooking and I consider myself a bit of a ‘foodie’. Learning spanish has been fun too!

Numeracy Leader

As the Numeracy Leader I see student engagement as an essential pillar in teaching mathematics. We drive these initiatives through enacting rich tasks and mathematical games whilst using technology and manipulatives to demonstrate representations. We use the key structures of the Victorian
Curriculum in Mathematics (number and algebra, measurement and geometry and statistics and probability) with an emphasis on the proficiencies to develop 21st century thinking skills such as problem solving, reasoning and communicating.

I love being part of the warm and inclusive St Martin’s community. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing students find their flow through reading a good fit book or exploring their creative potential in Art. It’s a privilege to work in our amazing Library  instilling in our students a love of literacy and supporting them to find books that engage and excite them as readers.

I feel honoured to have begun working at St Martin’s this year and to have become a part of this lovely school community. I highly value student voice and agency in the classroom and love to ensure that students feel their voice is being heard and respected. My family, friends and two gorgeous vizslas are my everything. I love cooking, reading, being at the beach, going out for brunch and dinner (and any food for that matter!). I’m thrilled to be teaching the Year 1’s and can’t wait for a year of growth, progress, memories, fun and laughter.

I have been warmly welcomed into the St Martin’s community this year and I look forward to getting to know everyone. I share a classroom with Annie Jenkins, who I have known and taught with for many years. My family and I follow the Saints and we love going to the footy and supporting them. I enjoy pottering around in the garden and feel most relaxed at the beach and reading a good book.

I share the classroom with Giulia Costa whom I have known and taught with for years. I’m so excited to be working and learning alongside the wonderful teaching staff and students at SMOT. I have been working for several years within the primary school setting, but when I’m at home I am running my two daughters to their many dancing classes and spending time with my husband going to musicals and theater shows. In my spare time I like to play the piano and read books (Potter heads and Hobbits are always welcome for a chat). I can’t wait to get to know everyone more as the year progresses.

It has been an absolute pleasure to get to know all the amazing staff and students at SMOT and I have been welcomed with open arms so far. I have been teaching for around five years and have such a passion for teaching and watching learners grow. I am married, have a beautiful daughter named Hazel and two cute blue staffies named Teddy and Luna. I am so excited to be teaching Year 4’s this year and am looking forward to a fun, exciting and educational year of learning. I can’t wait to get to know more about each of you throughout the year. Getting lost in a good book is something that I love, even as an adult. Finding that good fit book that you can’t put down and instilling a life-long love of reading in all our students is something I strive for. While at school I treasure all the moments I have with my class and with other students around St Martin’s. It has been a wonderful start to the year so far getting to know the community of St Martin’s and I am feeling very fortunate to have been warmly welcomed by all the staff, students and families. I have been teaching for the last 6 years and along that journey I have welcomed my two beautiful girls that keep me busy on my non-working days. Along with my girls, I have a Golden Retriever named Louie who loves all the cuddles and pats he can get from anyone we walk past. I am really looking forward to getting to know you all this year and looking forward to seeing you around the school community.

Evviva l’italiano! I love all things Italian and look forward to sharing my passion for Italy and its culture with the students here at St. Martin’s. I aim to promote a love of language learning in my students-not just the Italian language but a love of all languages. I have had the privilege of working at St Martin’s for 16 years.  Over all those years, I can safely say that it never feels like coming to work as we have a fantastic staff and school community.  Every year I love meeting our precious preppies and always feel sad farewelling our Year 6 students.  Although not in a teaching role I am passionate about making the children feel welcome and safe when coming to the school office and for being a welcoming place for parents and visitors as well. I love to travel and spend time with family and friends.
