Meet our Teachers
The quality of a school has to be the quality of the teaching staff. We are beyond fortunate to have a team of teachers truly dedicated to positive outcomes for all children.
Meet our teachers below!
Leadership

Angela Lacey
Principal
I am absolutely thrilled to be joining St Martin of Tours school and parish community, and I know I am coming to a place of welcome, care and a desire to provide a safe and engaging learning experience for the students. My main goal as I begin is to get to know the students, their parents and families, and the members of the parish. It will be a fair task to learn this many names, but I am ready for the challenge! I am truly blessed to be joining such a strong and vibrant community.

Marita Anderson
Deputy Principal / Religious Education Leader
I count my blessings every day that I get to lead an amazing dedicated staff and instil a great love of learning and a love of Jesus within our students. What brings me joy is watching my boys play football on a cold winter’s day and spending time in the Victorian great outdoors.

Jamie Atherton
Assistant Deputy Principal / Student Wellbeing Leader / Year 4 Teacher
As the Student Wellbeing Leader my focus is continuing to build a learning environment where our students feel safe, build positive relationships and are engaged in learning that helps them to flourish as young independent people. Our whole school focus is to instill in our students positive behaviours that are guided by the life of Jesus as our model.

Sandra Tieppo
Literacy Leader / Year 2 Teacher
I love learning and my passion lies in supporting students to be the best they can be. I work with an amazing staff and a supportive parent community. It is a privilege to work across the school in many different capacities. Outside of school my passion is cooking and I consider myself a bit of a ‘foodie’. Learning spanish has been fun too!

I love being part of the warm and inclusive St Martin’s community. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing students find their flow through reading a good fit book or exploring their creative potential in Art. It’s a privilege to work in our amazing Library instilling in our students a love of literacy and supporting them to find books that engage and excite them as readers.

I’m so excited to be working and learning alongside the wonderful teaching staff and students at SMOT. I have been working for several years within the primary school setting, but when I’m at home I am running my two daughters to their many dancing classes and spending time with my husband going to musicals and theater shows. In my spare time I like to play the piano and read books (Potter heads and Hobbits are always welcome for a chat). I can’t wait to get to know everyone more as the year progresses.

I am excited to be at St Martin’s. The best part about my job is being able to help students achieve their goals, as well as build their confidence. Outside of work I love to spend time with family and friends, play tennis, go on walks, explore different cuisines, go away on holidays and watch my children play sport.
