Improving Problem Solving and Critical Analysis Skills
Students are encouraged to follow the scientific process when solving problems by questioning, hypothesising, planning, creating, testing, evaluating, and sharing their results in order to find solutions to problems.
Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
Students participate in S.T.E.M classes led by our Specialist STEM Teacher. These classes are problem solving classes where students are encouraged to explore the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
A specialist room has been dedicated to S.T.E.M learning and with this space, the specialist teacher is able to introduce a wide range of robotic and coding technology to the curriculum. This includes using Edisons, Beebots, Makey Makey and Spheros which assists in developing problem solving and critical thinking skills and a 3D printer to enable students to visualise their ideas.
